Avaya One-X

Avaya One-X The Avaya one-X family is a portfolio of communications solutions which deliver a consistent communications experience for the end user across a variety of devices and interfaces. The Avaya one-X Deskphone Edition models are built with future growth and enhancement in mind. Modular add-ons are available as they are needed, protecting investments and leading to improved total cost of ownership. Both h.323 and SIP protocols are supported on some of the models. These new phones feature a very stylish and professional design.

Based on Avaya market research, the Avaya One-X Deskphone Edition addresses the unique needs of four types of user profiles:

 Walk-Up: Individuals that find a phone easy-to-use from the very first encounter, such as in a lobby or a store are the walk-up users.

 Everyday: Everyday users require a phone as just another tool on their desks, in addition to emails and IM, because they field a minimal number of calls a day.

 Essential: Essential users are on the phone constantly, and these phones will keep them connected wherever they are.

 Navigator: Navigators are those individuals who answer phones and manage calls for themselves and for groups of people as a big part of their jobs.

9610 IP Telephone
The Avaya 9610 IP Telephone is designed for the “walkup” user profile, for use in common areas such as building lobbies, break rooms and hallways. In most instances, the 9610 will not be associated with a single end user, but rather will be shared by visitors and building employees. With a large display and built-in web browser, the 9610 provides intuitive access to simple applications such as building directories, visitor information, news and events. The 9610 supports a single call appearance and with its dual position flip stand, makes a smart-looking addition to any building lobby or visitor area. Note: in support of the walkup user profile, the 9610 does not support hold, transfer, conference functionality.

9620 IP TelephoneAvaya One-X
The Avaya 9620 IP Telephone is geared to the “everyday” user profile, the individual that fields a modest number of calls a day and needs straightforward telephony. The 9620 supports up to 12 call appearances or administered feature keys. The backlit display shows three concurrent line call appearance with helpful LED lights to indicate status. The 9620 has a built-in speakerphone and supports a call log with up to 100 entries. Available via free firmware download, the 9620 supports SIP telephony features along with additional SIP enhancements – including display of  telephone “presence” of other users from the phone contact list, integration with MS Outlook calendar appointments, changeable display skins. SIP on the 9620 includes enhanced security features such as support for SRTP and TLS.

9630 / 9630G IP Telephones
The Avaya 9630 IP Telephone is designed for the “essential” user profile, the individual who is on the phone much of the time and considers the telephone a vital tool. The 9630 features a high fidelity wideband audio speaker and includes a larger display capable of showing six concurrent call appearances. The 9630 supports a total of 24 call appearance/feature keys and provides built-in support for mobility via a dedicated call forward/mobility button. This provides one-touch access to key Avaya Communication Manager features such as Extension to Cellular.  Available via free firmware download, the 9630 and 9630G support SIP telephony features along with additional SIP enhancements – including display of  telephone “presence” of other users from the phone contact list, integration with MS Outlook calendar appointments, changeable display skins.  SIP on the 9630 and 9630G includes enhanced security features such as support for SRTP and TLS.

The 9630G model is identical in functionality to the 9630 – and adds native support for Gigabit Ethernet for those customers who require 10/100/1000 Mbps bandwidth out to the desktop.

9640 / 9640G IP Telephone
Designed for the “essential” user profile, the 9640 has the identical button layout and form factor as the 9630. The key difference is the 9640 supports a brilliant 1/4 VGA color display. The 9640 is ideal for telephone intensive executives, as well as for those workers who benefit from phone applications. Available via free firmware download, the 9640 and 9640G support SIP telephony features along with additional SIP enhancements – including display of  telephone “presence” of other users from the phone contact list, integration with MS Outlook calendar appointments, changeable display skins. SIP on the 9640 / 40G includes enhanced security features such as support for SRTP and TLS.

The 9640G model is identical in functionality to the 9640 and adds native support for Gigabit Ethernet for those customers who require 10/100/1000 Mbps bandwidth out to the desktop.

9650 IP Telephone
The Avaya 9650 IP Telephone is designed for the “navigator” user profile. These individuals manage calls for themselves and for groups of people as a big part of their jobs. Building receptionists and executive admin staff are examples of navigator users. The 9650 features built-in button module functionality with one touch access to bridged appearances, speed dials and feature keys. When used with Avaya Communication Manager 4.0, the 9650 supports up three SBM 24 button expansion modules.

Bluetooth Adapter
Bluetooth Adapter for the 9600 series telephones, providing wireless connectivity to other bluetooth enabled communications devices. For highly mobile users such as those in the essential user profile, the bluetooth adapter allows for seamless integration between the 96xx Deskphone and bluetooth headset including the Avaya ABT-35 Bluetooth Headset.  With the bluetooth adapter, the ABT-35 provides switch hook control from the headset itself. In addition, users can continue to use their bluetooth headset with their cell phone.

Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
The Integrated Gigabit Adapter for one-X Deskphone Edition IP Telephones seamlessly integrates into the bottom of the 9600 series telephones, providing 10/100/1000 Mbps support in a simple, elegant manner. The 10/100/1000 Ethernet switch is capable of supporting the layer 1 and 2 features as configured for the Ethernet switch built into the telephone such as speed and duplex settings, the ability to report the actual speed and duplex when auto-negotiation is used, the ability to disable the secondary interface, VLAN tagging/removal, VLAN separation, and control of the forwarding of frames with group multicast addresses for 802.1X.

SBM 24 Button Expansion Module
24-button Module, extending the “one-button” numbers or features immediately accessible to the user from his or her Avaya IP Telephone. The SBM 24 is powered from the 9630, 9640 or 9650 telephone via the module interface.
